Adventures with Maths Ahead is a book written by Neha Teredesai from Sanskriti School,Pune that focuses on children’s introduction to our society and environment. It highlights the importance of communication, creativity and critical thinking. Our task encompassed the creation of interactive exercises within the book, enhancing the content's visual appeal and interactivity through skillfully crafted illustrations.
Our challenge was to creatively represent the content and make activities intriguing to ensure a strong connection with children. We strived to visually enhance interactive tasks while preserving the integrity of the content.
We used relatable characters, vibrant colors, and interactive elements to create a strong and lasting connection. This approach not only made the activities attractive but also encouraged active participation and better content comprehension.
Their main objective was to craft a captivating book that stimulates children at every turn. To achieve that, we collaborated with the clients team to explore a wide array of illustrative styles and then finalising one that breathes life into the interactive activities, fostering an enjoyable learning experience.
We conducted a comprehensive market analysis of available mathematics books, aiming to identify areas for improvement and gain insights into what engages children. This analysis encompassed an examination of layout references, illustration styles, design language, and font choices.
The book presents interactive activities that captivate both children and parents, involving cutting, pasting, math exercises, stickers, and entertaining number-based games. This unique blend transforms the book into an engaging scrapbook while offering valuable maths learning experiences.
The book is tailor-made to captivate the attention, cater to the learning style, and stimulate the cognitive development of 6-7-year-olds.
The illustration in this book adopts a delightful crayon-like style, evoking a sense of rawness and connection, perfectly capturing the attention of young readers, while the carefully crafted layout ensures a clutter-free and enjoyable journey through its pages.
With the cover serving as a kid's first impression, it boasts an attractive design, featuring the main character joyfully playing with numbers, while the captivating magician on the back adds to its allure.
We developed a relatable character around the users' age, adorned in a uniform familiar to kids which allows for better resonance and connection.
The book exuded a captivating allure, inspiring us to arrange a well-planned photoshoot. Witnessing the kids engrossed in interactive activities and enjoying their math learning journey was a gratifying experience. Working with diverse materials and engaging in various games added to the enjoyment of the project.
To promote the book, we formulated a multi-platform content strategy. This strategy involved creating animations of the book's illustrations, showcasing activity pages, and providing behind-the-scenes glimpses of the design process as well as the photoshoot through reels. These efforts were instrumental in capturing the attention of our target audience.
