However, there are some tried and tested strategies which are effective in bringing out the best in landing page techniques. However, firstly get to know the fact that your home page is not your landing page. Both of them are different. A homepage of a website is typically the one which has a lot of messages, details, call to actions, etc, which can at times make the person confused and the chances are that it may increase the bounce rates. So to minimize this, you need a perfect landing page. It should be aimed at converting the visitors and eventually turning them into leads.

Advantages of a good landing page

  • They directly support your business goals.
  • They improve paid search campaigns
  • They can grow your email list
  • They can directly increase the credibility
  • They directly improve brand awareness
  • So how can you design that perfect landing page-?

There are basically two types of landing pages-

The Click-through landing page

click-through-landing-page  They act as intermediaries to serve as the ultimate step while deciding whether you want to buy the product or not. They are typically used in the e-commerce industry where there is an option of adding through the click-through rates. It is also helpful in the services sector.

The Lead Generation page

It is typically created to tell some kind of information and then inform the prospective lead about it. We list some of them below-

Design according to the industry

Different industries have different requirements and so we have to design the entire website or the landing pages accordingly. For e.g. the blueprint works differently for the hospitality sector, different for a beauty sector, different for a medical field and so on.

Add a catchy headline

A catchy headline is the first thing which you should be thinking of because it is from there that your audience will be interested in you. It is the first step towards an engaging landing page and also gets the audience to observe the rest of the website.

Be specific in your approach

Let’s face it. The landing page of your website has only one specific approach and that is generating the leads and attracting the CTA’S. So focus only on one single aim and not on too many aims. If it is focussed on a single aim, then it will help the audience make easier choices and let you gain an edge over the other competitors.

Post interesting offers

Just one simple question? Why has the audience come to your page? So that there is something interesting for them, right?  So as a host you should offer that something interesting, which will in a way entice your audience. Post interesting offers, coupons or discounts which will make it sound nice and interesting for the audience.

Post beautiful images

Eye-catching and background images are a tall order. But they get half of the work done. They are also the first step in designing a good landing page.

Have honest customer reviews

An honest customer review is a big draw. They develop trust and an honesty factor which is a good thing and for your products and your business. So there are trends that, According to statistics around 85 % of the consumers trust online reviews.

Share your page to the other social media pages

Once you have designed and published the landing page, the next step is to share it to the other medium such as social media which will at the same time increase the number of audience links also.

Have a great call to action line

Call to actions should work on an auto-pilot mode and should have an instant effect of taking the required action. Ideally, keep it short that is in 5-7words and not very long enough.

Why should have a great landing page?

They are a great way to connect with your audience and also to drive various conversions and leads at the same time. It is a direct way to create a sales portfolio for your business and get your page more ready for clicks and sign-ups.

An overall minimalistic design

Too much of stuffing of too many things will drive away your potential audience and customers. For a good and professional landing page, you should use good quality images; the overall design of the landing page should be calm and minimal. You can use a maximum of up to 3 colors.

Use videos

Voice search and videos are only going to get bigger and better and is going to be one of the most trending factors in the upcoming years. Videos are extremely effective and have a very high conversion rate. Also, they put a much different impression than normal text. So it makes sense to post videos, especially on your landing pages. It also drives as a good means of a call to action.

Check the Grammar

The text need not be too much, but it should be perfect and should be able to draw the audiences. Always double check your copy content and make sure how will it look on the landing page. It directly converts to trust among the customers and can serve as potential leads.

Make clever use of colors

In one of our blogs, we have discussed how colors play an important role in influencing the audience behavior. Applying the right kind of colors may influence the traffic and generate potential leads.

  • color-physiologyYellow- For optimism and youthfulness
  • Red- Energy and passion and to take action.
  • Blue- Trust, security, and integrity
  • Green- Mostly used for nature, and the color associated with wealth.
  • Orange-Generally used for the call to actions.
  • Pink-Romantic and feminine, associated with softness and beauty products for girls.
  • Purple- Sophistication, professional, used generally for anti-aging products.
  • Black – Power, and luxury.

Placement and Content

Since there is not much content on the landing page, you need not decide what do you have to actually write about. But the placement matters as it makes the very first impression. The scrolling, the call to actions and the content and text should all be carefully aligned and placed in a location as and when the user can see. Your landing page should also be optimized so that it gets the maximum traffic.

Use the right kind of images which is suitable to the copy

People are visual beings and respond faster to images rather than to any other means or medium. So the right kinds of images are a double bonus. Implementing good and clear images can have an overall positive impact on the users and can give an extra push to the product. It should offer a good value proposition-

What is a value proposition?

It is like you are providing information to your audience/lead in terms of white papers or a free trial. A clear value proposition is always a win-win situation. You should also keep in mind that do not mingle around the situation and come straight to the point.

Limited navigation

Too much of navigation will make your prospective audience confused and will increase the bounce rate very drastically. You should have limited navigation pages which will be relatively easier to use and people would visit it repeatedly.

Sharing the pages

Attach sharing buttons which your prospective audience and clients can share. Also have customer testimonials put up everywhere, wherein you can instill the trust factor.
